How Weight Management Can Be Affected by MIC Injections

By Ollie Anerson

L-Methionine, Inositol and Choline are the basis for the acronym called: MIC. During metabolism, these lipotrophic agents assist in the breaking down of fat in the body.

MIC injections are used to aid in a patient's efforts to achieve weight loss, administered by a physician during a hCG Protocol. Since hCG releases much fat into the body, lipotrophic injections help move fat out of the liver. Vitamins like B6, B12 and a compound like Cyanocobalamin are injected at times along with MIC, during some hCG program regimens, these substances aid in fat burning.

There are 8 essential amino acids which the body can not produce, but consist of the building blocks of proteins, one of which is L-Methionine. Aside from injection or ingestion as a supplement, L-Methionine can be found in meats and dairy products, as well as spinach, potatoes, Brazil nuts and sesame seeds. Vegetarians are routinely recommended to use L-Methionine to supplement their diet, as well as patients with liver disease are advised to take it.

Eliminating and processing fat is one of the advantages to using L-Methionine during weight management. It is a required amino acid in the production of cysteine and taurine, which help the body eliminate toxins.

Inositol, is a carbohydrate, but is not considered a sugar, and was once considered a member of the vitamin B complex, however, since the body is able to synthesize it, it is not a classic vitamin. This is also found in peanuts, kidney beans, but it is mainly found in fruits like oranges, bananas, and cantaloupe.

When inositol is used at the same time as other B complex vitamins breaks down fat, but when utilized with compounds in a MIC injection, most notably choline, lecithin is formed, and that is considered to help fat metabolize during weight management.

The liver does produce choline, but normally it does not produce enough of this essential nutrient for the body. Many times grouped with vitamins in the B complex, similar to inositol, it is not actually a B vitamin. The regulation processes of organs such as the gallbladder, kidneys, and liver need choline to function correctly.

Choline is greatly needed to metabolize fat, and during a weight loss regime, it serves to help the liver's detoxification reactions, as well as is a methyl donor.

Eggs and soybeans are among the highest sources of choline in food products, and other sources include almonds, tofu, cauliflower, and beef liver.

Interestingly, the components of a MIC injection, especially inositol and choline, have been found to improve mental function, improve feelings of depression, and as part of a successful hCG Protocol, MIC injections are typically given weekly for the duration of the program.
